PowerFLARM Configuration Files FLARMCFG.TXT

Each time PowerFLARM is powered on, it looks for the file FLARMcfg.TXT in the top directory of the micro-SD card (portable) or USB stick (brick). FLARMcfg.TXT contains a series of dataport commands (as documented in the links above) that configure the PowerFLARM, or instruct it to perform diagnostics.

Prepare your own personalized FLARMcfg.TXT (for example with your transponder ID) by creating the configuration file online at:
www.flarm.com/powerflarm/configurator

!!!  The file name MUST be FLARMcfg.TXT and may not be modified.
!!!  PowerFLARM does NOT look for a configuration file if the memory card/stick is inserted after it has been powered up.

Troubleshooting

Go to the ‘PowerFLARM North America’ Web forum to see if your issue has been discussed already:

To instruct PowerFLARM to write a diagnostic file, place this file on your memory device with the file name FLARMCFG.TXT
Right Click on link below and Select “Save Link As … FLARMCFG.TXT”:
FLARMCFG_dump_diagnostics, May 15 2012

Email the diagnostics file to info[at]flarm.com with a description of your problem.

Dataport Specifications (developers only)

All FLARM products communicate using NMEA-style sentences over serial dataports. In addition to sending output sentences reporting traffic, FLARM accepts input commands that configure FLARM behavior. PowerFLARM (and other FLARM products) accept configuration commands in the same NMEA format from a micro-SD card or USB memory stick.
